| 12 | What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? |
| 13 | And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. |
| 14 | So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. |
This was today's gospel, taken from Matthew 18: 12-14. It is, to me, a beautiful passage that reminds us that God will never leave us alone. God loves every single one of us, and he is always ready to welcome us back when we have gone astray. There probably have been times when we have doubted God, or even ignored him. However, we have to always remember that God is always with us, and is always waiting with open arms for us to come back to him. This Advent is a perfect time for us to do some self-reflection, to recall the times where we have lost faith in God, and open our hearts to change our ways and let him back into our lives.
ITS JUST 2 DAYS LEFT BEFORE DEPARTURE, AND 1 DAY FOR THE ADVANCED PARTY! Its the final stretch guys, and in about a day, some of us would be already in the airport ready to head for Bicol. Let us always remember that the Lord is always present when two or three are gathered in his name, and go forth on this mission trip, remembering that he is always there for us no matter what challenges we face. Let us pray that this mission trip would be a success, and that we can grow closer to God through this experience.
