37 MORE DAYS TO DEPARTURE~STEPPING UP

YES! WE ARE LEFT WITH 37 MORE DAYS TO DEPARTURE (FOR THE ADVANCE PARTY) / 38 MORE DAYS TO DEPARTURE (FOR THE MAIN PARTY)!!! It is definitely going to get more exciting. Definitely, we cannot let the remaining 38 days past by us just like that. Thus, we are all required to do some research on the places we are going to visit. THIS SHALL BE OUR TASK FOR THE 38 DAYS! :D Through this research, we will definitely be able to understand more of (maybe) the culture of Philippines(?), the way of living etc. It may also be able help us to know what we can do more to help the children and the people. This can be a way to also understand the people better so that we will be able to communicate with them better when we meet them. :)

I'm really feeling excited and anxious for the trip too! I feel scared, too, as I am not sure how I might react to those kids and people in Philippines. I may or may not be able to feel how they are feeling after what they have lost because of the typhoon. But, still, I feel sorry for them and I will pray to God to help them in their times of need and help them find back the strength they have once lost.

Anyways, I hope that we will be able to accomplish all our tasks before the trip so that we can prepare well for the trip!

UNCLE AL REPLIES: The answers are all over for you to see. Our recce team brought back pictures from the the mission area during their trip last week. Look at them. Or you can look at http://www.missionariesinbicol.blogspot.com/ for a more comprehensive blog on the 2008 mission trip.

Don't be scared. Just be yourself. And always remember, in this mission trip, you are the ambassadors of Christ, your nation, your culture, your parish, your parents, of everything you stand for.
