Anyway, after reading John 11: 17-27, I think we can all learn a VERY VERY important lesson. We should all learn from Martha, Lazarus' sister. Despite the fact that Jesus did not come in time to save Lazarus, her undying faith did not waver, and she bravely said that SHE BELIEVED. I feel that this is important for all of us. Many a time, our faith wavers and we start to wonder if God is really there for us. However, I hope that during these 10 days in Bicol and during these 36 days before our departure, we will keep our faith strong and remember that God is always there. He will help us if we need help, and he will guide us into making this trip to Bicol a success. :D
And as we prepare ourselves for the mission trip coming up in 36 days, we also commemorate the feasts of All Saints and All Soul's. Jesus calls us to be faithful members of the church, to be his disciples and spread the message of God. The day's gospel was about the Beatitudes. Going for this mission trip, we have to prepare ourselves by reflecting on the values that are close and important to us. The Beatitudes tells us about the virtues that God wants us to have, in order to become saints. if we can achieve this, we can be true children of God and our reward will be great in heaven. We pray and ask the saints to pray for us to make this mission trip a success and to learn to embody these values to spread the word of God. We also pray for the willingness to do God's work and become saints of the church.
