3RD DAY IN BICOL ((:

HELLO! YAY THE MAIN BODY FINALLY ARRIVED!!!! (((: We were all SUPER HAPPY to see them when they reached the village, everyone literally ran to the bus with excitement and joy (including the children at Tagaytay). We spent our day at Tagaytay. Delivering pails of water to the various households, playing with the children and  giving them gifts. Playing with them was AWESOME! played catching, and everyone was running around crazily. (it was not like any normal catching that we usually play.) The kids were all so excited as they ran after us. It was obvious that all of us were having fun. (patrick was jumping around like a crazy person as he tried to dodge the children HAHAHA). Delivering water to the houses was not as easy as it seemed. Carrying the pails up the steep slopes required endurance, and most of us got REALLY wet. (not only with water but with  SWEAT). This experience has really made me realize how precious our water is. all we have to do is turn a tap, yet the villagers have to carry heavy buckets of water everyday. (pails are our new best friend in Bicol HAHA) For the advance party, we were all shy initially and were afraid to interact with the kids. But after awhile, we started to open up to the kids and played with them. IT WAS DEFINITELY A VERY VERY VERY FUN EXPERIENCE THAT MANY OF US WILL NEVER FORGET!!!! :D For the main body, the moment they arrived, they were swarmed by us and the kids. There were loads of hugs. Soon after, they put down their bags and IMMEDIATELY jumped into action. it was really a fulfilling day and we were all sad to leave Tagaytay. HIGH 5 (:

Uncle Al writes.... The mission trip finally got underway today with the Main Body arriving in Bicol at about 10.30 - almost an hour late via Airphil Express. But better late than never as the pilgrims, who endured a nerve-wracking diversion to Manila just minutes before landing on Friday, with the Main Body guys joining the Advance Party people in Tagaytay. They arrived directly from the Legazpi Airport. I saw their bus turning to the street where we were, and I know the mission has finally begun. There was this joy and exhilaration that  I felt as I hugged everyone disembarking. How we missed these guys. How I missed these guys. It's as if God was sending a very strong message of love to us: that he is with us, and that the moment to let our light shine has come. And we need not worry for he will be with us every step of the way.

In fact the delay in the arrival of the main body united us even more both in mind and spirit as everyone grasped the significance of what Fod has been telling us.

I shall be on my way home in two days' time, but I will go with the knowledge that the mission trip will be safe in the hands of the Lord.
