25 DAYS TO DEPARTURE

OMG!!! i have been just naturally writing the number of days left and suddenly today i realised that its less than a month!!!! PANIC!

Your first task is to be dissatisfied with yourself, fight sin, and transform yourself into something better. Your second task is to put up with the trials and temptations of this world that will be brought on by the change in your life and to persevere to the very end in the midst of these things. -- St. Augustine

I think this is a really meaningful quote by St Augustine. It is indeed true that we have to be dissatisfied with ourselves and fight to change ourselves into something better. In this mission trip to Bicol, we can't always think we are perfect, and think we are already doing the best we can. In fact, I'm sure if we just changed our perspectives, put a little MORE effort into our duties, we will definitely change ourselves into something better and would definitely make this trip more meaningful and successful! Furthermore, after all that is done, it is important to resist temptations and persevere! In this mission trip, very often we might meet many difficulties, many things that will make us feel like we rather take the easy way out. However, this is not the way to go! we HAVE to turn our backs from these temptations and change ourselves to adapt to the situation and make the best choice. Therefore, lets all follow St Augustine's sayings, and make it our task to "transform into something better" and to "persevere to the very end". ((: LETS ALL HAVE A SIMILAR GOAL DURING THIS MISSION TRIP :D
